Elegant Apple Tart

Ingredients
Crust:
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1 Tbl. brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbl. water
Topping:
- 3-5 apples, preferably Fuji
- 1 1/2 Tbl. brown sugar
- 3 Tbl. vanilla extract
- 5/8 cup ground pistachios
- 3/4-1 cup pureed apricots (or apricot jam that contains no suga
Directions
Step 1
- Mix thoroughly all crust ingredients and roll out. Place in greased pie pan.
Step 2
- Peel, core, and slice 4 apples.
- Arrange in a circular fan shape on top of crust. Drizzle with vanilla.
Step 3
- Bake at 400 degrees 40 minutes. Cover with pureed apricots and ground pistachios.
- Great served with homemade vanilla whipped cream or ice cream.
